Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and forsake not your mother’s teaching, for they are a graceful garland for your head and pendants for your neck. My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. Proverbs 1:8-10 (ESV) Moms and dads are vital to a healthy family and culture. Both are given the responsibility to teach their children. The government is not responsible for teaching our children. The church is not responsible for the teaching of our children. When we entrust our children to schools, they can teach them how to add, not live. The void in the United States today is in the realm of personal relationships. Businesses are crying out for workers who know the value of relationships, who know how to communicate, and who work within given structures in a positive and submissive manner. A confused and purposeless workforce comes with the deterioration and redefinition of the family. Public schools are not adequately equipped to teach what is necessary for success. Confused people act confused. Moms and dads must commit to God, each other, and their families, and take the responsibility of teaching their children, or there is little hope for our future. |
