"And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when sown on the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth, yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes more significant than all the garden plants and puts out large branches so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.” With many such parables, he spoke the word to them, as they were able to hear it. I must watch over the little details of life, for they determine the “issues” of the future. Small seeds placed in an environment that allows them to grow will grow, and will, one day, be beneficial or drain me of time and energy as I try to eliminate the effect they have caused.
Both the seeds and the environment in my life are critical, and I must pay close attention to both. This does not make one a legalist, but it makes one wise.
