"For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.” And when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the servant well. Luke 7:8-10 (ESV) Those who have faith, act like they have faith. Words do not give one faith. Heritage does not give one faith. Religion does not give one faith. Faith is simple. You either have it or do not have it. If you have a “little” of it, you have it all. If you think you have a little, but still have some doubt, you do not have it. You either believe God is God, or you do not. It is impossible to kind of, sort of, almost believe that God is God. Our knowledge may grow, but our faith is a different idea. It is important that we know what faith is since God has told us that it is the only way we can please Him. |
