If we live for food and clothes, we are not living. Life was meant to be about something, and Satan would love to get us messed up by getting us to miss what it is to be about.
One worries about things they will lose. If we have already died to ourselves, we will never “lose” ourselves. If we have made this life about God, then we are not concerned when this life is not about us. When we see our resources as something we are to manage for God instead of indulging for ourselves, we are not afraid of losing them.
Many in our nation needlessly suffer from anxiety.
God offers us a purposeful life of hope in which we can rest. He is the creator and sustainer of all life. He loves us. We can trust Him.
