"Stay dressed for action and keep your lamps burning, and be like men who are waiting for their master to come home from the wedding feast, so that they may open the door to him at once when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them.”
Luke 12:35-37 (ESV) Our enemy always tries to employ the element of surprise. Surprise gives you an advantage over your opponent in that they cannot prepare for your attack. Surprise allows an inferior opponent to have an advantage. Satan is inferior to God. He cannot win against God’s children if God’s children will listen to Him. Satan’s main tactic is surprise, even though God has given us His Word, His Spirit, and everything we need to live in reality and be prepared for any and all attacks. Destruction often seems swift even though the preparation for destruction may have taken a long time of preparation. When someone thinks they are secure for any reason other than God, they are primed to be destroyed. For now, the choice is mine. |
