And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God, but the one who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.” Luke 12:8-9 (ESV)
One day all people will give an account of their lives to God. Those who denied Him will wish they did not. Those who ignored Him, will wish they had not. Those who tried to use Him will wish they would have loved Him. Those who blamed Him will see how foolish they have been. Those who accepted His mercy, lived in His grace, and obeyed His Word, will be eternally thankful they made those decisions in this life.
There is little “mystical” about the time we meet God. We will either meet Him as our loving Father or our Judge. He will proclaim our position as His child, or the fact that we never knew Him. There will be no escape from that moment.
For now, the choice is ours.
